True to the Redbird mission, we wanted to accommodate new and more groups of flight training professionals this year at Migration. That's why, for its 7th installment, we decided to move the conference out of Central Texas for the first time. And we're happy we did.
Hosted at the world-class EAA Aviation Musem, Migration 2017 was our best year of learning and networking yet. Over 250 aviation professionals gathered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to exchange ideas about the biggest challenges and innovations in flight training. Among them was a stellar lineup of main session speakers.
Sean D. Tucker | Jack Pelton | Mark Baker | Tyson Weihs |
Aerobatic Pilot | EAA Chairman & CEO | AOPA President & CEO | ForeFlight Founder & CEO |
Pete Bunce | Capt. Carlton S. Davis | Christopher Hart | Bill Ayer |
GAMA President & CEO | Director, Air Crew Operations at Boeing | NTSB Board Member | retired Chairman & CEO of Alaska Air Group |
Supplementing the keynote messages, breakout sessions at Migration 2017 addressed wide-ranging topics impacting the future of aviation. Industry leaders and subject matter experts led discussions on advancing STEM education curricula, thriving through CFI shortages, adjusting simulator training to regulatory changes, optimizing simulator investments for flight schools, and more.
The three days were enlightening and enjoyable, and we want to thank all the attendees and speakers for their contributions. As we continue building devices for the proficient pilots of the future, your feedback and ideas make us better at what we do.
Stay tuned to our social media channels for more highlights from the show. Then, join us next October when we migrate again to AOPA headquarters in Frederick, Maryland. We hope to see you there!
